Air Arabia, which has its headquarters in Sharjah, is a budget carrier that needs no introduction. It has announced that it will be resuming flights across several destinations in countries like Iraq, Russia, Iran, and more from July 1 onwards. Here’s all you need to know about this development in the travel industry.

Air Arabia Announces Resumption Of Flights From July 1

This announcement by Air Arabia comes after Iran opened its airspace the previous night. As revealed in a report by the Gulf News, this coincides with the fact that Iraq and Israel also reopened their respective air spaces on June 24. Although the Iranian airspace remains restricted, some international flights can fly through the skies. They must, however, have prior approval from the Iranian Civil Aviation Authority!

And now Air Arabia has announced that it will be resuming flights to strategic destinations. This includes Ufa, Kazan, and Samara in Russia, Tbilisi in Georgia, Baku in Azerbaijan, and Yerevan in Armenia. Additionally, flights will resume from Sharjah to other cities in Iran, such as Mashhad, Shiraz, Najaf, and Lar. Moreover, Iraqi cities such as Baghdad, Basra, and Erbil will also see the resumption of flights.

Rebooking Of Flights Begins

With the situation escalating a bit after Tuesday, UAE residents are already making plans to reclaim their summer. After all, they are waiting to take a much-needed vacation once the flights recommence. This marks a significant shift in the psyche of travellers who were previously worried due to airspace closures and widespread flight disruptions. As a result, many travel agents are already reporting rebooking flights.

Although the airspace restrictions have been somewhat lifted over Israel and Iran, commercial flights are gradually resuming. This comes after a 12-day closure. But it should be noted that travel is still subject to increased caution.
