Recently, an Air Canada Dubai-bound flight was delayed, after a passenger opened the cabin door. As a result, he ended up falling on the tarmac, which was 20 feet below! This happened while the aircraft was still at the gate and the flight, as a result, ended up being delayed by six hours.
Dubai-Bound Air Canada Flight Delayed For Over 6 Hours
According to a report by the Khaleej Times, it was mentioned that a Dubai-bound Air Canada flight from Toronto had been delayed for six hours after a passenger opened the cabin door and fell 20 feet, onto the tarmac. This happened while the aircraft was still at the gate! As such, the local authorities in Canada responded swiftly to the call around 9 PM. And according to the same report, it was revealed that this happened when the aircraft was still at the gate and boarding, due to which, the man opened the aircraft door and fell onto the tarmac. It should be noted that he sustained several minor injuries from the fall.
The Passenger Who Fell On the Tarmac Was Transported To The Hospital
After this, the injured passenger was promptly transported to a local hospital. An investigation revealed that this man was in a state of crisis when the incident took place. In fact, Global News Canada reported that this incident happened on the airline’s Boeing 777 aircraft as it was preparing to take off. Not to mention, the passenger had boarded flight C056 normally, but then headed towards the opposite direction, after which he opened the door.
