The start of a direct route from Goa to Dubai was made public on Thursday by Air India Express, the company’s wholly-owned affiliate and affordable arm. On March 27, the first flight was slated to leave the ground. Recent changes by the airline to its Dubai network from India include the deletion of two destinations and the addition of two more. It also reflects an increase in frequency from a few more towns.

The flight will take off from the Dabolim Airport, Goa and land at Dubai International Airport. Travellers can anticipate 4 weekly direct flights on this route. As part of a recent network reorganisation for Dubai, AI Express chose to add a direct route from Goa to the well-liked Middle Eastern city. The senior management teams of Air India Express and AirAsia India hosted a reception at a city hotel later in the evening where the Goa travel industry enrolled in the revelries commemorating the debut of Air India Express to Goa.
The Flights are scheduled for Monday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday the service will run four times a week. The maiden Air India Express flight IX 840, departed just after 1:00 on Monday with 148 passengers on board and touched down in Dubai at 2:59 local time following a 3:25-hour flight.

Sorry, We Are Upgrading!
Air India Express’s website has a flickering pop-up with news that will catch your attention. The notice suggests that the website will be down in regards to upgrading their systems between 27th March at 7 pm (IST) upto 28th March at 10 am (IST). During this time, their systems would not be of certain assistance. They have mentioned their regret for the inconvenience caused due to this.
The managing director of Air India Express and AirAsia India, Aloke Singh made a few statements on the launch of this direct flight. According to him, Air India Express is the only airline providing direct service from Goa to Dubai. 13 daily direct flights from/to Goa are presently run by AirAsia India, which will merge with Air India Express. These flights connect five internal locations.
So now we have affordable flights to travel to Dubai from India.
