This innovative feature allows passengers to secure their desired flight fare for a period of 48 hours, all for a minimal, non-refundable fee. This window provides valuable time for travellers to finalise their itineraries without the worry of sudden price hikes or limited seat availability on their preferred flights. Notably, Fare Lock is applicable to flights scheduled at least 10 days in advance of booking the service.

Using Fare Lock is a simple and convenient process. Passengers can choose their preferred flights, select the Fare Lock option during checkout, and pay the associated fee. They can then return to their booking at a later time using the “Manage Booking” function on the Air India website or app to confirm their flight at the pre-selected fare.
