Speaking about holiday destinations, a survey conducted by Wego- a travel website revealed Seychelles to be the most searched holiday destinations for travellers in the Middle East.

Ticket Prices Start As Low As AED 1,259 For Economy & Business Class

Economy and Business class tickets start as low as AED1,259 and bookings can be made  via www.airseychelles.com. With Seychelles being a visa-free destination for all nationalities, travellers are allowed to enter regardless of vaccination status.  All travellers must carry a negative PCR test certificate taken 72 hours prior to departure and complete the mandatory Health Travel Authorization at seychelles.govtas.com for entry approval into the country.

There are no quarantine requirements upon arrival and the ease of movement allows visitors to roam freely within the Seychelles to explore the exciting spots and wide choice of activities the island has to offer.

Travellers Who Have Taken Two Doses Covid-19 Vaccine Now Get Quarantine-Free Entry In Seychelles

Home to numerous beaches, coral reefs and nature reserves, Seychelles is soon going to open its borders for tourists from all the countries, as long as they have taken a coronavirus vaccination. Before this, travelling to the beautiful Indian ocean nation was restricted to people with private jets, or for traveller from a list of approved countries.

For UAE, UAE-ites were initially required to follow institutional quarantine for six nights on arrival. However, now as per the latest update, travellers who have received two jabs of the covid-19 vaccine are allowed entry without quarantine, although they will still need to present a negative PCR test on arrival.

A Certificate Of Vaccinate Needs To Be Uploaded On Travel Portal Before Visting The Nation

If you have already received a vaccine and super excited after reading this update, then you must know that you’d have to wait two weeks after your second dose to visit Seychelles. Besides this, you also have to upload a certificate of vaccination on the country’s Travel Authorisation portal before you travel.

62% UAE Travellers Searched For Seychelles

Online searches for Seychelles have increased by 62%, in the first quarter. Thailand and Maldives followed suit with 45% and 40% increase respectively. The survey also revealed that MENA travellers are open to book holidays again, thanks to UAE’s vaccination drive.

Both Seychelles and Maldives are less than four and a half hours away from Dubai, and Emirates has now resumed services to both these pristine islands. Emirates services 28 weekly flights between Seychelles and Maldives. Meanwhile, Air Seychelles is also set to launch a weekly flight to Dubai to cope with the increased demand. This is addition to the two extra flights a week that Emirates is adding to its existing schedule of five weekly flights to Mahe.

The survey also revealed that 77% travellers are willing to get vaccinated as soon as it is available to them. 45% travellers plan to travel within one month while 36% plan to go on a luxury holiday.
