Akasa Air, known as the youngest airline in India, is on its way to mark its presence across the country. The airline announced today the addition of Goa to its network which will be the airline’s 12th destination. It was notified that, starting from January 11, 2023, the airlines will launch two daily non-stop flights from Goa to Bengaluru and also from Goa to Mumbai.
Akasa Air Connects Goa To Mumbai And Bengaluru
Akasa Air, with this announcement of the new Goa-Mumbai and Goa-Bengaluru routes, also announced that it will be flying from the new Mopa airport in Goa. The first flight from Goa on 11th January will fly at 11:50 am and land in Mumbai at 01:15 pm. Its flight from Goa to Bengaluru will depart at 08:05 pm and reach its destination by 09:30 pm.
From February 1, 2023, the count of two daily flights will be increased to three daily non-stop flights. There will be five daily departures from Goa, connecting Bengaluru and Mumbai. This improved connectivity between Goa, India’s party capital, and the two powerful metropolises of Bengaluru and Mumbai will undoubtedly boost economic growth.
Expanding Its Presence And Fleet
Akasa Air commenced its operations in India in August 2022. The airline has gradually expanded its operations, with over 5 lakh revenue passengers in the first six months alone. It expects to have more than 500 weekly flights by the end of December 2022. It has so far announced about 18 unique routes across 12 different cities in India.
By the end of March 2023, it plans to have 18 aircraft in each of its fleets. In the following four years, it will add another 72 aircraft to its inventory. The newest airline in India, Akasa Air, promises to provide the most comfortable service at affordable prices.
