Say goodbye to overpriced last-minute flights and hello to the breeze in your hair. Get ready to hop on a weekly ferry service between Lebanon and Cyprus. Launching on July 22, the ferry will cruise through Beirut and Tripoli and connect it to Larnaca and Limassol in Cyprus.
Who’s Behind This Sea-Tastic Plan Of Ferry Between Cyprus & Lebanon?
The mastermind? Lebanon’s own INDEVCO Group, a major player in the region. They’re setting up a Cyprus-based company, planning to sail under a Cypriot flag, and with a vessel that can carry around 200 passengers. The ferry will clock the journey in just four hours, that’s shorter than your average Netflix binge. Not bad for a trip across the Mediterranean.
The move comes with serious backing. Cyprus’ Transport Minister Alexis Vafeades confirmed the green light is flashing, and both governments are on board. Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Works is already sprucing up the Jounieh port. You can expect better border control, security, and infrastructure. There’s even chatter about adding Jounieh as an official stop.
Ticket Prices That Won’t Sink Your Wallet
Let’s talk money. Reports suggest ticket prices could range from $100 to $200, depending on the season and demand. That’s roughly 20–30% cheaper than flying. And for travellers watching every dirham, that discount makes a big difference.
The affordability factor could also tempt more Lebanese to travel, not just to visit Cyprus, but to use it as a hub for cheaper flights to Europe. With almost 5 million tourists landing in Cyprus every year, this route could also make Lebanon an easy weekend add-on for curious globetrotters.

Visa & Logistics: What You Need To Know
Before you run to pack your suitcase, here’s a little reality check: you’ll still need a valid Schengen visa to enter Cyprus. So no shortcuts there. Ticketing details, onboard features and exact schedules are expected to drop soon.
But one thing’s for sure, the buzz is real, and this sea route is about to spice up East Mediterranean travel in a big way.
So mark your calendars for July 22 and get ready to sail across the Mediterranean shores.
