As revealed by the AlUla Development Company, Numaj is an upcoming Autograph Collection Hotel. This is coming up in AlUla and will boast 250 rooms. A project that is being developed in partnership with Marriott International, it is expected that this palatial hotel will open its doors in 2027. The celestial-inspired property takes its name from the Nu Ursae Majoris. But did you know it also has a historical significance? Yes, this star system was used as a tool by ancient travellers while navigating in the AlUla region. Not only this, in Arabic, it translates to the first leap, which symbolises new beginnings.

As it happens, this development was revealed at the Arabian Travel Market, which recently concluded in Dubai for its 2025 edition. The design work is by the architecture firm, GioForma. And if this name rings a bell in your mind, it’s because they’re also known for the Maraya Concert Hall.

What Can You Expect From This Property?

The concept draws its inspiration from the breathtaking natural and cultural heritage of AlUla. Incorporating regional materials, traditional craftsmanship, and textures, it features exquisite pieces from the region that would make the hotel truly stand out.

Yes, the features include engraved mushrabia patterns, open-air layouts, and even locally sourced stonework. Together, these elements will mirror its desert surroundings! Complete with five dining venues, a gym, two swimming pools, a spa, retail spaces, and a conference centre, this hotel would cater to people travelling for both leisure and business purposes. In fact, the lobby is going to leave people astounded with its curated rock collection.

Don’t all these details sound perfect to you? Well, we can’t wait for the opening of this new property in AlUla.
