Ammy Virk Is A Big Foodie But Prefers To Eat Vegetarian Food

We enjoy filming our Sunday Brunch episodes with famous personalities, especially when they are massive foodies! They almost mirror our love for appetising food and fun conversations. One such guest was the 2024 ‘Bad Newz’ actor, Ammy Virk! Our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, and Ammy bonded over Chinese food, hacks to use chopsticks, travelling in Brampton and much more. Check it out.

Ammy Virk Is A Vegetarian Foodie

We began this delightful episode by talking about food; it is the only correct way to do so! We were also curious whether our guest was a big foodie and asked him about it. Ammy assured us that he was a huge foodie, just like us! However, his indulgence is only limited to vegetarian food.

In fact, he adores vegetarian food to the extent that he would devour leaves if he were ever in an unfortunate situation! “Kahi aisi jagah fas jaun, kuch bhi na ho, phir toh main patta bhi kha jaunga,” he said, chuckling.

By expressing his love for vegetarian food, this Punjabi Munda is debunking the assumption that Punjabis are hardcore non-vegetarians. He acknowledged that many Punjabis are non-vegetarians but he also said that there are far more vegetarians in Punjab.

Continuing on the same topic, Kamiya asked if he had ever consumed any meat. To our surprise, he said that he has tried chicken and eggs! Recalling Ammy’s childhood days in Punjab, he shared that during Diwali, his uncle would make mouthwatering chicken curry.

He also told us that his parents only allowed boiled eggs in the house and nothing else. This was during the harsh winter season in Punjab. The eggs provided the much-needed warmth and protein to the body. So, he has tried non-vegetarian food but chooses to be vegetarian.
