That’s exactly how chef Vikas Khanna feels. During the latest episode of Sunday Brunch, he revealed that despite living in New York, Amritsar remains the city that brings him the most peace.
Vikas Khanna On What Amritsar Means To Him
While you’ll always see a serene smile on chef Vikas Khanna’s face, the happiness that takes over him when he lands in Amritsar is something different! And that’s exactly what our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, noted when she stepped into the chef’s Amritsar home.
“Jitna badhiya Amritsar main soota hun, utna main kahin nahi soota. This is the city where I sleep,” he admitted, reflecting with a simple admission that there indeed is no place like home!

Chef Takes Us To All His Fave Places In The City
After treating us to a delicious spread of Punjabi ghar ka khana, chef Vikas Khanna took us on a tour of Amritsar, introducing us to some of his favourite eateries and comfort foods. Following sewa at the gurudwara, Vikas and Kamiya headed to Mathura Chat on Lawrence Road, where they relished Aloo Tikki Chaat and Bun Tikki, something the chef says he has been enjoying since childhood.
To give Kamiya a real taste of Amritsar, Vikas then stopped at Lubhaya Ram Aam Papad Wala, where she tried the famous aam papad ki chaat, a must-try, according to the chef, for anyone visiting the city. Wrapping up the food trail on a sweet note, the duo made their final stop at A One Kulfa, making for the perfect ending to one of the most delightful episodes of Sunday Brunch.
