Ras Al Khaimah Art announces the return of Antica Australis, an award-winning cultural dining experience from Australia, for the Ras Al Khaimah Art 2024 Festival. Located in Carcoar, it’s recognised as one of Australia’s top regional restaurants, offering ancient dishes from Ciociaria in central Italy with a modern touch, using local organic produce. Run by Paolo and Kelly Picarazzi, it promises an immersive, sensory-led experience.
Four-Course Meal With Regional Italian Flavours
Paolo & Kelly Picarazzi, co-owners of Antica Australis, express excitement about their return to Al Jazeera Al Hamra Heritage Village for the Ras Al Khaimah Art 2024 Festival. They’ve curated four-course menus, merging regional Italian, Ras Al Khaimah’s local produce, Australian ingredients, and Emirati flavours—a unique cultural connection through food. Antica Australis will host limited lunch and dinner events during the Festival from February 3 to 18, 2024. Paolo will present distinct four-course menus each weekend, accompanied by storytelling from Kelly. Menu highlights include pistachio risotto, ‘ethereal’ tiramisu with pomegranate, and a saffron-infused medieval milk pudding with salted popcorn and date molasses.
The Complete Cultural Dining Experience
Antica Australis Cultural Heritage Dining offers ticketed festival events for Saturday and Sunday, including guided tours, a four-course set menu with beverages, and immersive storytelling in an Emirati courtyard. Cooking Demonstration & Dinner events on February 9th and 16th provide an exclusive opportunity for guests to learn to cook a two-course Italian meal and dine at the Chef’s Table with Paolo and Kelly Picarazzi. Limited seating (20 guests per event) requires booking. Explore Antica’s culinary offerings on February 9th and 16th, 2024, with their AED 300 per person Cooking Demo & Dinner, limited to 10 guests per session. For the Cultural Dining Experience, indulge on Saturdays (February 3rd, 10th, and 17th) with lunch at 1 pm and dinner at 7 pm, or on Sundays (February 4th, 11th, and 18th) with lunch at 1 pm. Pricing options include AED 400 (with two soft drinks) or AED 500 (with two grape beverages).
