Anushka Sen: “My Parents Are Risk Takers. If They Come Across Opportunities, They At least Give Them A Try.”

For actor Anushka Sen, of Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi and Jhansi Ki Rani fame, South Korea is her second home. Anushka’s acting trajectory will soon be seen on the Korean silver screen. Ahead of her Korean projects, the Honorary Ambassador of Korean Tourism walked along the gullies of Mahavir Nagar in Kandivali, Mumbai. In this Tere Gully Mein episode, we chatted with Anushka Sen about everything under the sun, including what she learnt from her parents.

Anushka Sen Has Learnt To Be A Risk Taker

While talking to us, we asked Anushka Sen if her parents were okay with her auditioning for acting gigs. She said, “My parents are the kind of people who have always been risk takers. If they don’t know something yet, come across opportunities, they still give them a try. We all believe this.” Sen said her journey started with a music video then proceeded into advertisements and then recalled people suggesting her to try her hands at acting.

That’s when her parents decided to let her pursue acting. “Warna main computer engineer hoti,” said Anushka Sen. We’re glad Anushka Sen is an actress and not a computer engineer!

She Loved The Gochujang Dosa

Our first stop with the actress was at Yummy Dosa, known for its fusion dosas, pasta, Chinese fare and sizzlers. As we waited for our Gochujang Dosa to be served, we asked Anushka about her spice tolerance. “Very good,” she quipped with conviction. Of course, we didn’t let her go by just taking her word for it. We had to test it!

After letting her camera eat the dosa, she tried the Indo-Korean dish. Her verdict? Anushka Sen loved it! She called it superb and said it’s her go-to dosa, and she can’t go back to eating the regular one. We enjoyed our Korean food trail with the talented Gen Z icon.
