The much-awaited inaugural Art Week Riyadh 2025 is finally here. Featuring plenty of beautifully created masterpieces, these feature everything from art made from shattered glass and plastic toy gun caps to even sculptures! Sounds quite quirky, don’t they? Well, these creatively made art pieces have been sourced from not just the regional artists but from those even around the world. Here’s all you need to know about the ongoing exhibition.
Art Week Riyadh Is Underway Till April 13
Art Week Riyadh is one of the most awaited events that has taken over the city. These art pieces have been sourced from 45 local, regional, and international galleries. In fact, it also includes private and institutional collections. However, besides featuring a public programme of talks and more, there’s a lot to expect from the ongoing inaugural edition, which is being held under the theme of ‘At The Edge’.
With an exciting lineup, Art Week Riyadh is happening till Sunday, April 13. The week-long celebration of the dynamic art scene in Saudi Arabia will be happening at key cultural sites. These include JAX District, TRITA, Shamalat, Naila Art Gallery, Hewar Art Gallery, Isdar, Abdulnasser Al Gharem Studio, Al Mousa Centre, L’Art Pur Foundation, 015 Gallery, and Nasser Al Salem Studio, it aims to honour the past while also celebrating the present and of course building for the future in the same process.
There are many creative installations offering something for everyone. Bringing together master pieces, each of which presents a curated selection that explores the evolving cultural dialogue between Saudi Arabia, the MENA and the global contemporary art scene. You will certainly want to marvel at the beautiful selection of art pieces.

What Can You Expect From The Exhibition?
In fact, three galleries will be hosted under the title Collections In Dialogue. Collections from Ithra, Art Jameel and the Saudi Research and Media Group are invited for the same so that it offers a rare and expensive insight into the evolving cultural identity of Saudi Arabia. For instance, Ithra will present a curated selection of 15 significant works from its museum
Collection. These wil be titled ‘Landscape and Memory’ and is a part of the event’s invited collections exhibition. Not just exhibitions, a series of high-profile talks and workshops will also be happening at the JAX District. It will reflect on themes and questions that face the visual arts in Riyadh.
At this point, it’s worth mentioning that the Saudi Arabia Museum of Contemporary Art will also present to exhibitions. These are called the Art of Kingdom and Adaptability Ceramics. Besides the exhibitions, they will also be hosting workshops and pop-ups, thereby offering a feast for the senses and a celebration of the art scene.
