Assam, Tripura And Manipur Will Soon Be Connected To International Destinations By Air

The International Air Connectivity Scheme is drawing out a scheme to connect Northeast India with select international destinations. According to the Ministry of Civil Aviation Manipur, Tripura, and Assam will be connected to Bangkok, Dhaka, Kathmandu, Yangon, Hanoi, Mandalay, Kunming & Chittagong by air.  In another news, you will soon be able to enjoy the aerial view of lush green mountains while touching down at Arunachal Pradesh. The hilly state is developing a Greenfield Airport in Hollongi, nestled around 15 minutes away from the capital city Itanagar. The Airports Authority of India is constructing the airport to facilitate air connectivity in Arunachal Pradesh. The airport will enable travellers to reach the state faster via air route. Thus, the Hollongi airport can give a massive boost to the state’s tourism.

How To Reach Arunachal Pradesh Now?

To reach Arunachal Pradesh now, travellers need to take flights either to Assam or Guwahati first and then take a taxi, bus or train. Alternatively, direct trains are available to Arunachal Pradesh from some cities. However, it takes a lot of time now to reach Arunachal Pradesh from the major metropolitan cities. But flying directly to Arunachal Pradesh is finally becoming a reality. The new Hollongi airport will curtail the travel time and bring in a larger number of travellers to the state.
