On the first day of the Asian Games, India made a remarkable start, clinching medals in various events. In the women’s 10m air rifle event, the trio of Ramita, Mehuli Ghosh, and Ashi Chouksey secured a silver medal, marking India’s first medal of the day. The success continued as army men Arjun Lal Jat and Arvind won another silver in the men’s lightweight double sculls in rowing. India’s Men’s Eight rowing team added yet another silver to the tally, and Babu Lal Yadav and Lekh Ram secured a bronze in men’s pair rowing.

Indian Athletes Are Making A Mark In Various Sports

Taking the country’s victory to the next level, India’s women’s cricket team reached the final by defeating Bangladesh by 8 wickets in the semi-final.
