Chef Munidasa’s Ministry Of Crab launched its 4th branch in the world in Mumbai. Sprawled over 6,000 sq.ft and spanning 3 floors, it was named Sri Lanka’s best restaurant in 2018. Getting a reservation here requires some serious planning, as they’re almost, always booked full. Known for its Mud Crab variants, their prawns offer an alternative hit story.

On The Menu
As the name suggests, you come in here for an unforgettable crustacean meal. They offer 10 different sizes of mud crabs starting for 500 g and these can be cooked in flavored sauces that span from Chili, Butter, Garlic Chilim Black Pepper and Baked. However, if you are calling for their Baked mud crab, they ask you for 3-hour notice for its preparation.
What is absolutely beautiful about their crab renditions is the way they treat the meat. The crab is always sweaty and glistening with color and the meat is succulent and juicy. Their Black Pepper version is extremely popular but you’re warned: the eating is messy and your bib is going to eat as much gravy as you. They crack the claws for easing out the eating process, but as always, crabs are hard work.
Their Avocado and Crab Salad is a crowd favorite and it’s a combination of chilled and steamed crab meat served with a wasabi dressing. The cool bit is the way they serve the dish in the pit of the fruit itself. Their Garlic Prawns are another favorite and they offer 6 size variants for this particular fish in general. You can choose between Black Tiger Prawns and Fresh Water Prawns with the portions starting from 1/2 kg.

MoC uses authentic spices and flavors from the land of the establishment’s origin – Sri Lanka. The flavors were curated keeping in mind the native country’s palate. For the vegetarians, the Goan Curry and Garlic Rice are what you should try.
