The place was chosen because Bangkok’s diverse backdrop allowed the makers to capture raw and unfiltered life. Bangkok also served as a core setting for the movie’s plot.
2. Malaysia
Some portions of the movie were also shot in locations like Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Filmmakers used the vibrant urban landscape of Kuala Lumpur as the background for some of the final scenes of the movie. Fans may get glimpses of the city while watching the movie in theatres.

3. Rajasthan
Significant portions of the domestic schedule of the movie also took place in Rajasthan. According to the Wikipedia page for Awarapan 2, Emraan Hashmi also suffered an abdominal injury while performing an action sequence here. He had to undergo surgery.
4. Mumbai
Some studio work, dubbing and scenes were shot in Mumbai too. Though outdoor scenes were shot in other cities and countries, many dramatic and melancholic indoor scenes were shot in Mumbai itself on custom-built interior sets in Mumbai studios. Some scenes showing conversations between the characters were also shot in Mumbai itself.
