India is celebrating Ram Navami with immense devotion. The festival, which celebrates the birth of Lord Rama, has brought a lot of joy and happiness among devotees across the country. From Ram Mandir in Ayodhya to celebrations in Kashmir, here is how people are celebrating.

Ram Navami Celebrations In India 


Ram Navami is one of the most important Hindu festivals. It marks the birth anniversary of Lord Rama. This festival falls on the ninth day of Chaitra Navratri and is celebrated by offering prayers and preparing prasad. The celebrations are considered the most special in Ayodhya, the sacred birthplace of Lord Rama and home to the revered Ram Mandir. On the occasion of Ram Navami, a remarkable ceremony takes place at the temple called the Surya Tilak ritual. The official X page of Ayodhya Darshan (@ShriAyodhya_) also shared visuals showing the ‘Surya Tilak of Prabhu Ram’.


According to The Times of India, this ceremony involves directing a beam of sunlight precisely on the forehead of the Ram Lalla idol using an arrangement of mirrors and lenses. On this sacred occasion, the Panchamrit Abhishek of the Ram Lalla idol was performed along with the Janm Aarti. Official X page of @ShriRamTeerth also posted images from the celebrations.

More Celebrations Across The Nation 


Videos went viral showing large numbers of devotees gathering at Ram Mandir on the occasion of Ram Navami. The festival was also celebrated with full fervour in Kashmir. An X user, @Theunk5555, posted a video showing celebrations happening in Srinagar. 

According to Sambad English, devotees also gathered in large numbers to take dips at the sacred Sangam in Prayagraj on the ninth day of Chaitra Navratri. In Bihar’s Patna and in Odisha’s Puri, devotees flocked to temples to offer prayers to Lord Rama.
