If you are a native of Bandra, you are well aware that St. Jude’s is the location that, in the days when there were few options, used to make and sell bread to the majority of Bandra. Consequently, the fact that The Bombay Canteen’s owners chose this location for Veronica’s is quite appropriate.
It was a huge undertaking to transform a dilapidated building with a great history into a cosy sandwich restaurant. The room was made brighter and more vibrant by rebuilding the roof and opening it to the sky. The team also added extra openings to the building to increase accessibility and foster a welcoming atmosphere.
A modern design with vintage tiles and skylight spaces gives the room a relaxed atmosphere. Veronica’s feels like a neighbourhood location you’d want to enter straight away, with a mix of vibrant colours in a setting that invokes nostalgia. Since you know where to go after your morning run, they even have some salads and breakfast specials available.
