This Indian singer, songwriter, rapper, and music producer has given us hits like ‘Maan Meri Jaan’, ‘Tu Aake Dekhle’, and many more. On a recent episode of Tere Gully Mein, our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, met the fabulous and talented singer for a drive around Mumbai. This episode was a great opportunity to dive into King’s life, his love for music, his favourite spots to hang out in Delhi, and much more. King Used To Play Football In School

After discussing King’s favourite hangout spots in Delhi, Kamya Jani mentioned that she had heard he was interested in football as a kid, to which he replied that he very much was. In fact, he played under-17 football when he was in school. Curious, Kamya Jani asked how music entered his life and if anyone in his family had influenced him.

He revealed that nobody in his family was involved in music. In fact, he never even openly sang at home. However, while playing football, a thought lingered at the back of his mind: what if he tried getting into music? When he finally did, he compared that moment to a candy bursting open in his mouth. He felt the spark and realised that this was what he wanted to do. As for football, he still loves it. While he cannot play professionally anymore, he wants to get back on the field and play with his friends.

Since uploading videos on YouTube didn’t cost anything, that became his channel to reach people. Not only did he love the videos he put out, but the audience also loved them.
