Belarus has introduced a new visa policy to welcome nationals from 35 European countries! According to Belarus’s new visa-free regime, citizens from 35 European countries like Germany and France can stay in the country for up to 90 days per year. Read on to learn more about this visa policy.

From July 19, Belarus has decided to introduce a 90-day visa-free policy for 35 European countries. As per a Reuters report, this new visa policy will allow citizens of 35 European nations, including Germany, Britain, and France, to enter Belarus without a visa and stay for up to 90 days per year.

Till now, travellers from all these countries could only remain in Belarus for 30 days. They also had to fly into the country via Minsk National Airport. The country, however, has an existing 90-day visa-free policy for some countries. These included neighbours and European Union members like Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland.

As per the Reuters report, this new visa policy shows Belarus’s commitment to openness, peace, and good neighbourliness with fellow European nations. The nationals of 35 European countries can enter Belarus through road, rail, or air without a visa.

Citizens of Austria, Andorra, Belgium, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vatican, United Kingdom, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Denmark, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, North Macedonia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, France, Croatia, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, Estonia will be able to stay in Belarus and make the most of this 90-day visa-free policy.

The policy has come into effect from July 19 and will last until December 31, 2024. This new visa-free policy by Belarus can be used multiple times by the European citizens of the stated countries. However, it shall not exceed the 90 days-limit within a year. Also, this policy does not apply to special passport holders like diplomatic and official passports.
