India created history on 23rd August 2023! It became the first country in the world to land on the moon’s south pole and the 4th country to achieve a soft landing on the lunar surface. To celebrate this historic feat and congratulate the scientists of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) PM Modi is visiting the ISRO headquarters on August 26, Saturday. Here’s the traffic advisory every Bengalurean needs to follow on this day.

PM Modi To Visit ISRO Telemetry In Bangalore

On Saturday, August 26th, PM Modi will visit Bengaluru to congratulate the scientists at ISRO. He will visit ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC) in Peenya post the tremendous success of Chandrayaan-3 mission. The Bengaluru Traffic Police issued a traffic advisory to tell citizens to avoid certain roads on that day.

PM Modi is currently at the BRICS summit in Johannesburg in South Africa. From there, he will fly directly to Bengaluru on August 26. His flight is scheduled to land at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) Airport at 5:30 am and then depart at 9 am. At ISRO Telemetry in Peenya, the Prime Minister will interact and congratulate the scientists on successfully landing Chandrayaan-3 on the moon’s south pole.

Here Are The Roads You Must Avoid On Aug 26

Meanwhile, here are the roads Bengaluru Police wants you to avoid from 4:30 am to 9:30 am on August 26.

  • Old Madras Road
  • Old Airport Road
  • Cubbon Road
  • MG Road
  • Ballari Road
  • Raj Bhavan Road
  • Yeshwanthpur Flyover
  • CV Raman Road
  • Tumakuru Road (from Yeshwanthpur to Nagasandra)
  • Magadi Road
  • Jalahalli Cross Road.
  • Outer Ring Road
  • Gubbi Thotadappa Road

Moreover, Bengaluru Police have banned heavy traffic on the roads mentioned above from 4 am to 10 am on August 26. On August 24, senior police officers in the city held a meeting at the police Commissioner’s office to review the security arrangements ahead of PM Modi’s visit to Bengaluru.

According to Times Now, the BJP party in Karnataka will hold a mega road show for PM Modi to congratulate him on the feat. The roadshow will held 1 km near Peenya. The Prime Minister will reach HAL Airport first on Saturday morning and then travel by road to the ISRO facility at Peenya.
