It is shocking to see how many incidents of emergency landing, flight delays, cancellations, and disruptions we come across these days. Many passengers face daily inconveniences due to unexpected and unavoidable schedule changes. Recently, an Air India flight bound for Delhi had to make an emergency landing at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru. Here’s why the sudden decision was taken mid-air.

The aircraft heading to the national capital faced an engine failure on Sunday. After taking off from Kempegowda International Airport on January 5, one of its shut down in the air suddenly. A technical issue triggered this emergency landing. Following this discovery, this Air India flight returned shortly after departing from the runway. Initially, the plane took off at around 7 PM.

After almost an hour of operating in the Karnataka capital as a precaution, the pilot and crew returned to the origin point. According to a report by Moneycontrol, emergency conditions were followed when the flight arrived on the runaway at Bengaluru airport. Thankfully, everyone on board the aircraft was safe. No news concerning injuries was reported following the emergency landing on Sunday evening.

As per several reports, this airport was initially scheduled to take off from Kempegowda International Airport at 5:45 PM on Sunday. However, it faced a delay and departed the airport at 7:09 PM. After encountering technical issues and flying in the air within the Karnataka capital city for around an hour, the flight returned to its origin and landed at 8:11 PM.

In conversation with Moneycontrol, a flyer revealed that the flight reached Bengaluru after an hour of panic and stress. They thanked the captain for a safe landing at the airport. The statement also mentioned that the security staff remained on high alert during this unfortunate incident.

The Flight Reached Its Destination The Next Day

The Air India flight finally took from Bengaluru airport at 11:47 PM on Sunday. It reached Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on Monday at 2:02 AM. It was a safe journey and passengers travelled to their destination comfortably and conveniently.
