A large chunk of the Indian population is vegetarian so it is no surprise that the country has a lot of love for vegetarian food. Recently, Swiggy shared their order analysis and it turned out that out of their top ten most-ordered dishes, six were vegetarians. What is more, Bengaluru emerged as the veggie capital of India owing to its orders. Here are all of the important details that you would need to know about Swiggy’s order analysis.
Bengaluru Is The Veggie Valley Of India As Per Swiggy Orders
According to a press release recently shared by Swiggy, Bengaluru has emerged, not just as a Silicon Valley, but also as the Veggie Valley of India! One in every three vegetarian orders is from the city. This means that the city orders the most vegetarian dishes.
Among the favourite vegetarian dishes are Masala Dosa, which is the top veg dish, Paneer Biryani and Paneer Butter Masala. The next city with the most vegetarian orders is Mumbai. Its most-ordered vegetarian dishes are Dal Khichdi, Margherita Pizza, and the iconic Pav Bhaji.
After Mumbai, comes Hyderabad. The most-ordered vegetarian dishes are Masala Dosa and Idli. In addition to this, more than 90 per cent of the breakfast orders in India are vegetarian. Masala Dosa, Vada and Idli have emerged as the top breakfast choices across the nations.

Margherita pizza, as per the data, is the most popular vegetarian snack. In addition to this, the data also said that on average more than 60,000 veg salad orders are placed weekly on Swiggy.
