Gone are the days when waiting for at least half an hour to receive orders from restaurants was normal. Now, foodies can order food and get it delivered in just 10 minutes. On Tuesday, Ola Consumer introduced Ola Dash in Bengaluru. The company initiated a pilot for this new inclusion in the 10-minute food delivery category. Several restaurants are already live on the app. Ola is likely to officially announce the new launch on December 18.
Back in June 2024, Ola launched Ola Dash through Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). To use the all-new facility and place orders from the listed restaurants, users can find the food delivery offering in the Ola app itself. This new feature is in the food delivery section. According to a report by CNBC TV18, the delivery service is available from restaurants located within a radius of 1 km.
Coming under the food delivery offering section of Ola, the company introduced Ola Dash initially as a 10-minute grocery delivery facility. After six months, Ola ceased this quick commerce service in 2022. After 2017, this launch marked Ola’s second entry into the vast food delivery landscape.
