Every city has something that acts as a landmark or a reference point for directions. It could be a school, a bank or even a fast-food outlet. We get so used to it as part of our daily commute that seeing it removed or replaced feels like a big change no one wants. Residents of Bengaluru are going through the same thing. The decision to replace the iconic KFC signal in Indiranagar has left Bengalureans disappointed and in disbelief.
As per a report by Hindustan Times, the junction was famous for its towering KFC bucket. The bucket stood above the signal and acted as a reference point for many daily commuters. One X user, @tarinisarah, posted a photo of the junction with no KFC in sight. She wrote, “KFC signal has lost its KFC.” The image only showed a Pizza Hut outlet at the spot.
