Bengaluru Police Traffic Shares Video On Overspeeding

In a bid to raise awareness about the repercussions of overspeeding, the video that appeared to be AI-generated features a graveyard where coffins are situated in rows, each one marked with speed limit numbers like 108 km/h, 118 km/h, and 200 km/h. The video clearly indicated with the strong visuals that overspeeding can kill and land you in the graveyard. Sharing the video, Bengaluru Traffic Police wrote, “Speed thrills… until it sends you the bill. Overspeeding might look cool in reels, but on real roads, it’s risky business. Slow down. Stay safe. Because reaching late is better than not reaching at all.”

Internet Divides Over Opinions On The Viral Video

As soon as the post went viral, it drew mixed reactions from netizens. While many applaud the Bengaluru police for their creativity, some also questioned the management and also addressed other factors contributing to the growing number of road accidents in the city. One user wrote, “What about the bad roads??” While others said, “Beware of potholes.” Some also appreciated the creativity and wrote, “Good one… A big applause for the content team,” Creative content is smooth…but our roads aren’t,” and “Creativity level is high. ”

According to Deccan Herald, one issue that dominated Bengaluru’s civic conversation was the roads of the city. Many accidents were linked to the cratered roads, emphasising how roads have made commuting difficult in the city.

Recently, Bengaluru Police Traffic also made headlines for their recent installation of wrecked cars at busy city junctions. Earlier this year, the police installed four wrecked cars at a few important spots in the city, including Indiranagar, Jayanagar, Brigade Road and the Hebbal flyover.
