The restaurant owner, who runs his main business from Delhi, had recently expanded to Bengaluru with high hopes. He opened the new outlet of “Khadak Singh Da Dhaba” in HSR Layout on March 6, expecting a fresh start in the city’s food scene. However, things did not go as planned. Within just a few days, he started facing difficulty getting commercial LPG cylinders, which are essential for running a restaurant kitchen.
Without a steady supply of cooking gas, continuing daily operations became nearly impossible. Eventually, the owner had to make the difficult decision to temporarily close the outlet. The sudden shutdown came as a shock, especially since the restaurant had only just begun welcoming its first customers.

Restaurant Owner Expresses Disappointment
The restaurateur Kawaljeet Singh (@kawal279)later shared the update on X. In his post, he expressed disappointment about the situation but also remained hopeful. He wrote, “We have to remain closed temporarily due to gas shortage in Bangalore. My heart is broken, but the spirits are alive. We will come back stronger once the gas situation improves.”
This post by the restaurant owner has gone viral all over social media. Many netizens encouraged the restaurant owner to stay positive. Some users wrote supportive messages and said that difficult situations eventually pass. One owner responded, “We are operating with selected menu items, and that too for a few more days. Very bad scenario.” This shows that many people are facing a similar situation.
We hope the shortage of LPY cylinders gets solved soon!
