As beOnd Airlines celebrates its successful one-year anniversary, it is the world’s first premium leisure airline. And during a press conference, the airline revealed its growth projections, and how it’s been a successful year for the premium airline. With plans to add new destinations across different countries, aircraft, and more, here’s an insight into this!
beOnd Airlines Celebrates One Year Anniversary
beOnd Airlines is a Maldivian carrier, which is known for offering affordable luxury flights. With premium customer experience, the airline started its commercial operations on November 15th from Munich. And according to the data provided by the airline, about 8,000 passengers have already been flown by the airline. With a fleet of two airlines, comprising Airbus A319 and A321, these have all been designed for a world-class business-class experience.
The Airline Reveals Plans For Expansion In The Middle East
Talking about the plans for the next few years, the airline plans to add 27 aircraft in either four years or five years. Not to mention, they also plan to increase the number of destinations from existing 5 to 54, which will be spread across 39 countries. Not to mention, the plan is to service approximately 4,00,000 passengers by 2028. During the press conference, it was revealed that there are, in fact, plans to add four new aircraft in the next year itself.
This means the airlines will have a fleet of six aircraft that will be servicing new destinations. With plans of expansion in the Middle East, the airline revealed that it already plans to introduce five new destinations, which will be announced soon. With respect to the Middle East, there are expansion plans expected either in the UAE or in Saudi Arabia, which will be revealed soon. Additionally, they plan to move to DWC from DXB in the near future.

A Year Of Success & Learning
It’s worth mentioning that currently, the airline flies to the cities of Zürich, Munich, Dubai, Riyadh, and Milan, to Malé. Not to mention, they’re also operating the 5th Freedom programme between Zürich and Dubai. In fact, there are plans to introduce more 5th Freedoms from the UAE. Costing about €3000 for a round-trip, the airline reveals that they receive about 100 enquiries every month for the charter programmes. Especially as they have also flown football teams. With 8,000 customers serviced to date, the network-wide load factor is 55% and their NPS is +35 for the overall experience, as compared to the industry average, which is -10.
