Cricket season? It’s over now. Festive season? Almost at the end! With the year-end approaching soon, the cherishable moments and days are passing at the speed of light. But gladly, the wedding season is making a grand entrance with brides and grooms doing all the last-minute preparations for their big day. Just before the entire India starts dancing and singing in joy during the wedding festivities, brides and grooms are now getting busy with pre-wedding shoots. If you are in Kolkata and looking for stunning locations, here’s what we recommend.
These Are Kolkata’s Most Photogenic Pre-Wedding Shoot Locations
1. Maidan
If you are on the lookout for a huge stretch of a field where you can capture the unending views of both city life and greenery, Maidan is your destination. This field surely holds the best of both worlds; a serene calmness in between the bustle of the City of Joy. Wake up early and rush to the venue to capture Maidan dipped in fog this winter season. A little bonus: you will find many horses as well to add to your pre-wedding shoot’s background.
2. Mullick Ghat Flower Market
Howrah’s iconic Mullick Ghat Flower Market is a super crowded venue visited by thousands each and every day. Doing a pre-wedding shoot amidst the absolute chaos is a task but you will surely love the pictures in that bustling and vibrant ambience. The bright colourful flowers are some of the most beautiful elements to add to the photos.
3. Kolkata Tram
One of the few things that represent the old-school charm of Kolkata still today is the iconic tram system. The slow-paced movement in between the fast autos, buses, and cars on the roads surely takes you back to a world where you can feel the decade-old atmosphere.

5. North Kolkata
North Kolkata and its beauty have a special place in every Bengali’s heart. The entire country knows how the City of Joy has beautifully preserved its heritage and vintage vibes even now and a major credit of the city staying in its old-school attire goes to the northern part. From Kumartuli to the lanes, you will get aesthetically pleasing corners in front of every other house and its iconic doors and windows.
6. Rabindra Sarobar
One of South Kolkata’s most famous locations is this artificial lake. Be it just to sit back and relax, hang out with friends, or click loads of pictures, Rabindra Sarobar is one of our favourite places to visit again and again in Kolkata. The famous structures bordering the lake, lily pads, and greenery are the most stunning highlights of this location.
