In a shocking video from Bhopal’s Sindhi Market, a vegetable seller is seen washing coriander leaves in dirty drain water. The man who shot his video can be heard telling that washing the leaves in drain water is unhygienic. But despite his request, the vendor continues with his filthy act. He even refuses to reveal his name on the video, saying “Arey mat karo“( Don’t do this). The video went viral on the internet and also caught the eye of the Bhopal administration. The administration registered a case against the vendor.
He Sells Vegetables In Bhopal’s Nav Bahar Market
The vendor was identified as Dharmendra, who sells vegetables in the Nav Bahar vegetable market of Bhopal. Senior Principal Correspondent of IBC 24 NEWS, Sudhir Dandotiya posted the video on Twitter stating, “Be careful, see how your health is being played with, you are not buying such vegetables anywhere, vegetables getting washed away in drain water in Sindhi Colony of Bhopal @bhupendrasingho Yes @CollectorBhopal @digpolicebhopal … Appropriate action is requested to take cognizance of the matter. @KamalPatelBJP @DrPRChoudhary.”

Police Complaint Has Been Lodged Against The Vendor
No wonder, the internet was infuriated after watching the video. One user wrote, “Food and Civil supplies, local health department of the state of Bhopal and all concerned authorities must take stringent action against this coriander seller for knowingly and openly that without having fear of anyone playing with the health of citizens of Bhopal.” Another wrote, “He should be arrested.” Bhopal District Food Safety Officer Devendra Kumar Dubey lodged a police complaint against the vendor. After his name was identified, the cops also traced his address. As per reports, they could not find him at home but are in action to catch him soon.
Meanwhile, every time you buy vegetables from the market, ensure to wash them properly in warm water or a vegetable sanitiser.
