Bhubaneswar Railway Station is all set to get a world-class makeover with state of the art facilities like concourse platforms and elevators. Railway Board Chairperson Suneet Sharma revealed this news after inspecting the railway station. According to Sharma, Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) is developing a joint plan to put this plan into action. Read on to know more about this railway station.
Bhubaneswar Railway Station To Get Global Makeover
As per a Live Mint report, Railway Board Chairperson Suneet Sharma revealed that the primary focus of this Bhubaneswar Railway Station makeover project is on the development of the lighting, waiting rooms, elevators, toilets platform and concourse. He further added that while the redevelopment plan for the statin has been created, authorities are taking action to complete the station redevelopment project work at the earliest. Bhubaneswar Railway Station will have one platform and two additional lines.

Sharma further stated to Live Mint that special attention will be given to increase the line capacity through automatic block signalling and intermediate block signalling system apart from safety measures. The quality of both loading and in the passenger segment will be improved. The multi-modal transport hub is being hailed as the first of its kind in India. The proposed building will have G+5 floors, out of this G+2 floors will be used by Indian Railways.
