Bomb Threat Call In Moscow-Delhi Flight; Passengers Deboarded

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi received a bomb threat call on a flight that arrived in Delhi in the early hours of Friday. Flight SU 232 was coming to Delhi from the Russian capital Moscow. It landed in Delhi at 3:20 AM on October 14 and was immediately emptied.

The flight was carrying 386 passengers and around 16 crew members.

CISF At Delhi Airport Received Bomb Threat Call On Moscow-Delhi Flight

At around 11:15 PM on October 13, the security personnel at Delhi Airport received a warning about the presence of a bomb inside the Delhi-bound flight from Moscow. The warning was received in the form of an e-mail. An hour before the plane landed, rescue personnel and bomb disposal squads rushed to the spot. After the plane landed on runway 29, passengers and crew members had to immediately deboard. The security personnel thoroughly examined the flight and the luggage of the flyers.

The Security Personnel Didn’t Detect Anything Suspicious

As per reports, the Delhi Police stated that nothing unusual was detected in the flight and added that it was announced safe. The police also stated that the investigation is underway. Several reports are suggesting that it turned out to be a hoax call later. This is the third time a flight received a bomb threat call in the last few weeks.

In July, a Patna-Delhi IndiGo flight was evacuated after a passenger reported that a bomb was in his bag.
