Patna-Delhi IndiGo Flight Emptied Of Passengers After Bomb Scare

An IndiGo flight from Patna to Delhi was grounded and emptied on Thursday night after a passenger on the flight complained of having a bomb inside his bag. Flight, 6E2126 was immediately grounded and all the passengers were deboarded after the passenger claimed to have a bomb. The airline had a bomb squad and police at the spot, who conducted a thorough search of the flight. The Delhi-bound flight was then, cancelled.

Hoax Call: Bomb Scare In Delhi Bound IndiGo flight

After a proper search conducted by the bomb squad and police, there was no bomb found on the flight. The bag was also searched and there was no bomb found. The passenger, however, has been detained by the Police following the incident. The man, identified as Rishi Chand Singh, reported a hoax saying that he was carrying a bomb inside his bag. The bomb disposal squad immediately rushed in following his claim.

The IndiGo flight which was then cancelled was rescheduled to fly on Friday.

Reportedly, the man, now detained by the airport authorities is not mentally fit.
