On November 29, a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation bus overturned near Bindravana Tola village in Gondia. At least 10 people have been reported dead and 30 injured in this tragic incident so far. Police and ambulance rushed to the spot where the accident took place to assist and help people.
10 Dead In Bus Accident In Maharashtra’s Gondia District
In an unfortunate incident, a Shivshahi Bus in Maharashtra overturned in Bindravana Tola village on the Gondia-Arjuni road in the Gondia district on Friday afternoon. According to an NDTV report, the state transport bus lost control and overturned while travelling from Nagpur to Gondia.
The accident occurred around noon on Friday. Reportedly, the bus was travelling normally when a motorcycle suddenly appeared on the road. To avoid hitting the motorcycle, the driver tried to manoeuvre but failed as the bus was travelling at a higher speed. This sudden movement caused the bus to overturn.
Videos circulating on social media show a large number of people gathering around the overturned bus. Police vans, ambulances, and cranes also reached the spot of the accident to assist those injured. All the injured passengers have been taken to the Gondia District Hospital for medical assistance.
CM Orders Transport Administration To Provide Immediate Assistance
According to NDTV, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde has asked the Transport Administration to provide immediate assistance of ₹10 lakh to the victims. As per a statement released by the CMO, “Instructions have been issued for immediate and proper treatment of the injured.”

Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis also took to X (formerly Twitter) to offer his condolences and share his “heartfelt respects to the deceased” and “grief of their families.” He also said that he prays for a “speedy recovery of the injured in this incident.”
