Even after having a conversation with an ambulance driver, people can not be certain how long it will take for the vehicle to arrive and carry the patient to a hospital or a nursing home. This only triggers distress among everyone. Well, a mobile app is all set to resolve this significant issue.

According to a report by Mumbai Live, the 108 Ambulance service will be available on a mobile app in Maharashtra. This much-needed facility will be effective starting from March 2025. One of the biggest advantages of getting an ambulance on this app is being able to know where exactly the ambulance is. Just like Ola and Uber’s facilities, this app will show the ambulance’s location and how long it will need to reach the patient’s location.

Another major benefit of this mobile app will be to provide contact details. With the available mobile numbers, the family of patients can call the ambulance driver to get more information. In addition, they can call the doctor directly if necessary. Effective and much-needed services like these will play a major role in catering to the needs of the patients and transporting them to hospitals at the earliest.

The mobile app will not be operational for the 108 ambulance service only. In addition to the above-mentioned facilities, the app will feature necessary information about the nearest government hospital. In fact, one of the next parts of developing the platform is to add private hospitals to the list.

If any user is found in an area facing natural disasters, the mobile app will inform them with much-needed details. They will receive messages about the calamities.
