Sushi Con: Live Tuna-Cutting Demo, Lip-Smacking Sushi & More
Previously named True World Food Expo and now rightly renamed Sushi Con, New Yorkers are in for a sashimi extravaganza like no other! The sushi con will bring the freshest and most delicious sushi all under one roof —the Metropolitan Pavilion in the Flatiron District in Manhattan. Mark your calendars for September 22. This one-day sushi event will happen from 1 PM to 5 PM (local time).
Apart from the mouthwatering sushi, of course, this sushi expo boasts of the awaited tuna-cutting demonstration. Beginning at 1:30 PM, watch renowned chefs expertly cut open an 181 kg tuna right in front of a live audience. Moreover, they will distribute the freshly cut slices of the fish to the attendees. This is a type of experience that you don’t need to fly to Tokyo for.
At this year’s expo, you can witness over 50 suppliers of Japanese and top-notch seafood delicacies serving you lip-smacking treats. Attendees will have access to an unlimited amount of gems from the sea. From yellowtail to salmon to urchin to sea bream to bluefin tuna, it’s a delight for seafood lovers. For those not big on seafood, there are also tastings for Japanese classics like wasabi, yuzu and matcha at the event.

As per a report by Time Out, Noble Fresh Cart, an e-commerce food delivery service will be a new attendee at this year’s event.
