TruJet is also offering the shortest flight rides from Hyderabad to Hampi which clock at nearly 75 mins. Previously, if one were to visit Hampi from Hyderabad, one had to get down at the closest airport, Hubli, which is still a four hour drive from Hampi. Currently only one flight is running per day on the Bengaluru to Hampi and Hyderabad to Hampi route, but more flights will be introduced very soon.
TruJet operates under central government’s subsidised regional connectivity scheme Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN). UDAN aims to serve lesser-connected airports in tier-2 and tier-3 cities. Air Odisha was launched by UDAN, which successful took off its flight flight at the end of February.
