Guests at a high-end Marriott hotel in Denver were in for more than just scrambled eggs and fresh coffee last week as they witnessed a full-on breakfast bar meltdown. It was courtesy of a furious employee who had just been fired. The entire incident went viral, as the Denver employee destroyed the breakfast bar, and her reaction was broadcast to millions by a TikTok user.

The chaos began, according to the TikTok account @letaleja, after what looked like a tense conversation between a staff member and her manager. In a series of videos now watched over 12 million times, the unnamed woman is first seen yelling “F*** you” at the front desk before storming off towards the breakfast area. That’s where things took a very dramatic turn.
With the quiet clink of cutlery still lingering in the air, the employee grabbed a jar of milk and hurled it to the ground. Then came the flour and eggs, an entire tray of them hurled across the floor like confetti. Looking at this, hotel guests quickly backed away, unsure whether to intervene or pretend this was just part of the Marriott’s new immersive breakfast experience.

What Happened After That?
TikTok user @letaleja, who posted the original video, gave some context in the comments: “For everyone asking for context… this was in a Marriott in Denver! The lady in the green (assuming the manager) had a coaching convo, and the lady who was freaking out got pi**ed and started yelling at her. The manager went back in and sent her home for the day. She was arguing with the front desk and asked if she could come back tomorrow and they said ‘no, you’re fired’. That’s when she started her rampage. She destroyed the breakfast bar (idk if she originally set it up or not) and then left.”
What’s worse (or better, depending on how addicted you are to drama on your For You page), the employee destroying the breakfast bar wasn’t even the end. A second clip shows the same woman returning to the property shortly after, not to finish what she started, but because she forgot her phone. No further damage was done at that point, though the sight of her walking back through the door surely spiked a few heart rates.

Was Her Reaction Justified Or Not?
The videos have since spilled beyond TikTok and onto Reddit, where people have been swapping stories about their own worst quitting or getting fired moments. Reactions online have ranged from “she lost it, not okay” to “can’t say I wouldn’t do the same after an all-night shift and a surprise firing.”
As of now, Marriott hasn’t commented on the incident, and it’s unclear if the woman will face any legal repercussions. If nothing else, this is one of those “remember when” moments, the kind guests at that hotel will be talking about long after the white stains are mopped up.
