Chef Kunal Kapur took to social media to share the recipe for his comforting Aloo Gobi. In the caption, he wrote, “Nothing beats the comfort of gharwali aloo gobi. Simple, wholesome, and packed with everyday flavours that always feel like home.”

Prepare Aloo Gobi At Home
Ingredients:
- Potato
- Cauliflower
- Salt
- Turmeric
- Mustard Oil
- Asafoetida
- Cumin
- Ginger
- Onion
- Tomatoes
- Coriander Powder
- Chaat Masala
- Garam Masala
- Kasturi Methi
- Coriander
Method:
- Take two large potatoes and cut them into pieces. Make sure the pieces are not too large and not too small. After chopping the potatoes, keep them in water.
- Then take one cauliflower, cut the florets, and put them in the water. Add one teaspoon of salt and half a teaspoon of turmeric to the water.
- Keep a kadai on the stove and add five tablespoons of mustard oil. Then add one teaspoon of asafoetida, one teaspoon of cumin, one tablespoon of chopped ginger, two green chillies, and half a cup of chopped onions.
- Mix everything well and let the onions cook. Once the onions start turning brown, add one cup of chopped tomatoes.
- Now add salt as per your taste and let the tomatoes cook for some time. After three to four minutes, add some turmeric, two teaspoons of red chilli powder, and one and a half tablespoons of coriander powder.
- Then add the chopped potatoes and let them cook for about five minutes. Add a dash of water, then add the cauliflower, and again add a dash of water.
- After letting the cauliflower cook for a few minutes, add a pinch of chaat masala, garam masala, kasturi methi, and lastly, chopped coriander.
- That’s it! Your Aloo Gobi is ready to enjoy.
