No one can escape the allure of food and cooking videos on the Internet. The home chef’s expert culinary skills, sizzling spices and drool-worthy food shots are enough to leave us all drooling. Even superstar Chiranjeevi is a massive fan of cooking videos. Recently, the actor gave a shout-out to Tamil Nadu’s popular Village Cooking Channel. Here’s what he said.

Chiranjeevi Praises Tamil Nadu-Based Village Cooking Channel’s Videos

During a recent event in Hyderabad, megastar Chiranjeevi made an interesting revelation which foodies can totally relate to. The Bholaa Shankar stated that he recently had a meeting with his auditors, lawyers and others as it was the end of the financial year. Chiranjeevi found it difficult to understand the technical bits of the conversation during the PowerPoint presentation. So, he resorted to scrolling his phone. The actor started watching a video his daughter recommended to him.

And that was a video from Tamil Nadu’s Village Cooking Channel. As his daughter spoke to him about the channel, the actor kept watching videos of the YouTube cooking channel during the audit meeting. Chiranjeevi then imitated the signature welcome phrase of Village Cooking Channel’s videos. “Ellarum vaanga, always welcome,” imitated the star, joyfully. The megastar added that he was engrossed in watching the village cooks chop something. But his team thought he was taking notes on his phone.

A Channel Run By Farmers Turned YouTube Stars

With over 24.2 million followers on YouTube, the Village Cooking Channel is Tamil Nadu’s first-ever channel to record 1 crore subscribers. The farmers-turned YouTuber stars from Chinna Veeramangalam are headed by grandfather, M Periyathambi, a former caterer. In 2021, Rahul Gandhi appeared on the show and helped the YouTube stars cook Mushroom Biryani.

The admin and cinematographer of the Village Cooking Channel, Subramanian Velusamy reacted to Chiranjeevi’s appreciation. He said it was a proud moment for them. Subramanian thanked Chiranjeevi for his kind words and said the actor makes them proud.
