Last night, Coldplay performed in Mumbai and as we can all imagine, it was a sky full of stars—a magical evening for all the Coldplay fans. The vibe was undeniably infectious. Watching your favourite band perform live and listening to the music that you groove to in person is definitely a feeling that cannot be expressed into words. The band certainly went the extra mile to welcome the Indian fans and make the experience even more special for them. 

Chris Martin’s Hindi Charm & Magical Performances Steal Hearts In Mumbai

Even before the concert, Chris Martin was spotted in Indian attire, visiting a mandir in Mumbai, touching the hearts of all Indian fans, and heightening their excitement for the concert later that evening. During the concert, the fans witnessed some highlights that will stay with them forever. It was the first of Coldplay’s three consecutive concerts at DY Patil Stadium, and Martin delighted the audience by addressing them in fluent Hindi.

In a video shared online, Chris is seen greeting the audience in Hindi, saying, “Good evening, everybody! Aap sabka bahut swagat hai. Mumbai mein aakar humein bahut khushi ho rahi hai.” He added, “We are so happy to be here. This is our first real show in India, so thank you. Namaste.”

We can only imagine the roaring cheers and applause the crowd must have broken into after such a warm and heartfelt welcome. The energy in the crowd skyrocketed! The most surprising element of the show came when Chris Martin read out ‘Jai Shree Ram’ from a placard held by a fan in the audience. This moment evoked loud cheers from the attendees, filling the air and atmosphere with electric energy and joy!

Coldplay Sets The Bar For Unforgettable Concerts

Performing iconic hits like Fix You, A Sky Full of Stars, Yellow, and Hymn for the Weekend, the band brought Paradise to Mumbai for all the fans!. The audience filled with joy like never before, and Chris Martin’s attempt at Hindi was certainly the highlight of the show. He didn’t just please the audience with his Hindi but also crazed all cricket fans.

During one of his final songs, he unexpectedly mentioned Star Bowler, Jaspreet Bumrah, leaving the crowd, delighted and cheering. “Hold on, we have to finish the show because Jasprit Bumrah wants to come and play backstage.” After thanking the fans, Martin added, “He says he needs to bowl at me now.” We can only imagine the excitement all cricket fans felt at the moment!

Another heartwarming moment that went viral involved a young fan performing on stage with Chris Martin. The boy held a poster that read, “I manifested this moment. I am ready for it. Can I play Everglow with you?” Chris noticed the poster and invited the fan to the stage, saying, “We will sing it together, okay?” What a dream come true for a young fan!

The band is scheduled to perform in Mumbai on January 19 and 21 as well, and after Mumbai, they will head to Ahmedabad for shows on January 25 and 26. Judging by the spectacular first concert, the upcoming shows promise even more excitement, joy, and unforgettable moments.
