Time passes so fast, right? It feels like we celebrated New Year just some time back and it’s already so close to the end of January. With the days swiftly passing by, the time to bid adieu to the winter season is approaching soon as well. But before the weather gets warm again, some cities in Maharashtra are set to experience some chills for a few more days.

Some Cities Of Maharashtra Are Likely To Witness Coldwave Soon

Taking to the X (formerly Twitter) platform, Mumbai Rains (@rushikesh_agre_) shared weather forecasts of Mumbai and Pune.

According to weather updates shared on Monday, there are chances of intense cold waves hitting Mumbai and Pune. Mumbaikars and Punekars, get ready to embrace the shivers as the weather predictions state that the upcoming weekend is likely to experience one of the most intense cold waves of this winter season.

Take out all your sweaters from the cupboard if you have not already. Looks like the temperature is about to drop in the next couple of days. The weather predictions for this year’s winter season state that the temperature will decrease below 10°C in Pune. Along with this city, the mercury is likely to drop in Mumbai as well and create new winter records this season.

Cold nights are about to continue for some more days, especially on the weekend. It’s time to drink hot chocolate and cuddle inside blankets.

What’s The Weather Predictions For The Next Few Days?

The talked-about coldwave is likely to hit different areas of Maharashtra soon. Starting from January 23, the temperature is expected to drop from 13°C to 15°C in the next 3 days. According to forecasts till January 26, the temperature in Santacruz is expected to be around 15°C – 16°C. Forecasts predict Thane’s temperature may dip to 14°C to 15°C and Kalyan may experience weather ranging from 12°C to 13°C.

Not just the bustling cities, the small towns and interiors of the state are likely to feel the chills of the winter season. The shivers are expected to be more in places close to Jalagaon and Nashik. These areas may see the temperature dipping to single digits.

With the cold wave, the winter season is set to be harsh this time.
