It’s no secret that travelling to a new country might feel tedious even for the most seasoned travellers due to the visa processes. However, if you are planning to travel to the UK after February 22, you are in for some good news. We say this because it was recently revealed that now Jordanians can apply for travel visas electronically to enter the UK.

In a report by the Arab News, it was mentioned that from February 22 onwards, new permits for entering the UK will be available to those travelling. Yes, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced that Jordanians can apply for travel visas electronically to enter the UK. So, for anyone who wishes to travel to the UK after February 22, this option will be available. However, those travelling before the date will, however, have to apply for the visa in the traditional way.

It should be noted that the electronic travel visa will be valid for two years until the passport is valid. However, if the passport is changed or renewed during this time, the visa application should be submitted once again. At this point, it’s worth mentioning that this comes as a joint effort on the part of the nations to deepen the friendly relations between them. Besides Jordanians, people from GCC are amongst the first to benefit from the electronic travel authorisation scheme of the UK. This was open to the citizens of Qatar in October.

At this point, it’s worth mentioning that this announcement comes after Saudi Arabia also recently announced on Wednesday that the citizens of the kingdom can apply for travel visas for the UK, electronically.
