Malaysia Airlines, which is the flag carrier airline of Malaysia, has recently revealed that they’re adding routes to India. These routes will improve connectivity and boost travel between the two countries. Based on the demand, the frequency of these flights will also be increased. This addition has been much-needed and is sure to bring relief to those who frequently travel between the two countries. Here is all the information that is available regarding this new update.
Malaysia Airlines To Add Three New Routes To India
Alaysia Airlines recently announced that they are adding three new flight routes to India. These will all be from Kuala Lumpur and will connect India’s Amritsar in Punjab, Thiruvananthapuram or Trivandrum in Kerala and Ahmedabad in Gujarat.
The Kuala Lumpur-Amritsar flight will commence on the 8th of November at 6:50 PM. These flights will operate once a week on Wednesdays. It will return on Saturdays at 11:25 PM. The Kuala Lumpur-Trivandrum flight will commence on the 9th of November at 9:30 PM. The flight will operate on Thursdays and Sundays. The return flight will be every Friday and Monday at 12:01 AM.
The Kuala Lumpur-Ahmedabad flight will commence on the 1st of December and will operate four times a week on Tuesdays and Fridays at 6:50 PM and on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 11:00 PM. The flight from Ahmedabad to Kuala Lumpur will be on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:40 PM and on Thursdays and Sundays at 2:55 AM.
May Increase Frequency Depending On Demand
Adding this, the total number of Indian cities that Malaysia Airlines serves flights to is nine. These are Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Thiruvananthapuram.
According to a press release shared by the airline, the new routes will employ Boeing 737-800NG which consists of a total of 160 seats. Out of these, 16 are business class and the rest are economy.
