SalamAir is a low-cost airline from Oman that’s known for operating flights on several of routes. With an extensive network of destinations under its belt, the budget airline is now expanding its services to two new cities in India. Yes, from September onwards it will be servicing the new cities of Bengaluru and Mumbai and we are here with the details.

As revealed by Muscat Daily, SalamAir, which is a low-cost airline has now announced that it will start services to the cities of Mumbai and Bengaluru in India. With this move, the total number of global destinations will increase to 33. The announcements were made at the airline’s headquarters on Tuesday, August 30. And the flights are expected to begin on September for both the cities. Yes, from September 2 onwards, the airline will operate flights to Mumbai four times a week. While for Bengaluru, the services will commence on September 6 and it will be serviced twice a week.

It Will Begin Services With One-Way Fare Starting At OMR19

It’s worth mentioning that the introductory one-way fares will start at OMR19 for Mumbai and OMR33 for Bengaluru. Yes, this is under its light-fare scheme, which includes 7 KG hand luggage allowance as well. It’s worth noting that passengers will also get an option to customise their travel with additional services. Yes, this includes meals, travel insurance, and extra baggage. Moreover, with the expansion of the airline to these cities, it’s bound to offer more travel options to the customers. SalamAir already operates in several cities in India. Yes, this includes Delhi, Chennai, Calicut, Jaipur, Lucknow, and Hyderabad.

Moreover, in a previous report, it was shown that the airline saw an increase of 24% in its operational capacity compared to June. Not to mention, the expansion has led to a 14% rise in operations in India, as well as a 29% increase in Pakistan as compared to the previous period.
