Farah Khan’s show on her YouTube channel has gained popularity for her witty interview style and fun celebrity interactions. She never fails to make her audience laugh with her hilarious punchlines. Her videos with her cook Dilip have also been making rounds on the internet. Farah has previously met celebrities like Vijay Varma, Sanya Malhotra, Kajol, Munawar Faruqui, and many more. This time, she’s back with a house tour of her all-time favourite — Karan Johar.
The director-producer duo has given Bollywood some of its biggest hits like K3G, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, and more. In this episode, Farah takes her audience through Karan’s luxurious sea-facing home, where every corner is designed beautifully. Titled ‘How Poor Do I Want to Feel,’ the episode perfectly captures Farah’s witty reaction to the extravagance of Karan’s home. Here’s a glimpse of how their glamorous meetup went at his lavish house.
Sneak-Peak Into Karan Johar’s Exquisite House
First, Farah gave a tour of Karan’s lobby and then his bar, where some of the biggest names in Bollywood often hang out. Karan’s house, designed by Shah Rukh Khan’s wife Gauri Khan, reflects sophistication and elegance in every corner. During the tour, Farah came across a unique space in the house — a guest bathroom! Yes, you read that right. While most homes have guest rooms, Karan Johar’s house features a unique, stylish bathroom dedicated exclusively to his guests.
Made of copper (kancha), this bathroom has tiffin boxes that are oddly placed on the shelves. Reacting to this quirky design, Farah joked, “We have to eat and poop at the same time!” To which Karan replied, “We like to give people something on their way out.” Their non-stop fun banter throughout the episode was truly entertaining to watch.
His dining area is as extravagant as the sets in his movies, with a small potted tree placed in the centre and a huge sea-facing balcony in front. His walk-in wardrobe is nothing short of a dream, featuring ochre-coloured wooden cupboards, mirrors all around, and a layout that would impress any fashionista. The space is almost the size of two rooms and houses all his branded clothing. In Karan Johar’s world, everything feels like it belongs in a Taj Hotel, with decor and interiors reflecting luxury. It’s no wonder that all the celebrities love to gather at his place.
Made Fudge But Named It ‘Kudge’
After the house tour ended, Karan Johar revealed his secret recipe for making an eggless chocolate fudge using butter, milkmaid, flour, cocoa powder, walnuts, and caster sugar. He demonstrated the entire process of preparing the delicious dessert, and along the way, they vibed, danced, and playfully mocked each other. The fudge turned out to be amazing, and Farah even kissed Karan’s hand as a gesture of giving a ‘chef’s kiss.’ Since it was Karan’s recipe, they named it ‘Kudge.’
Karan admitted that his culinary skills are almost non-existent and that he rarely steps into the kitchen. When Farah asked him to translate “kitchen” into Hindi, he hilariously said, “Ghusal Khana,” which actually means bathroom. Clearly, Karan’s translation game isn’t too strong. He also tried to pronounce a few Mumbai suburb names like Bhandup, Chiplun, Titwala, Chinchpokli, Asangaon, and more, and his attempts made everyone laugh out loud.
Karan Johar even asked Farah to take his Dolce & Gabbana jacket as a token of love, and the duo shared a fun and memorable meetup at his place. Both of them ended the episode by recreating the iconic ‘Rahul-Anjali’ handshake from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, adding a nostalgic twist.
