The UAE Ministry of Health Prevention, MoHAP and the Ministry of Interior, MoI, announced that the disinfection programme will continue. But, that’s not all! Along with the extended dates, the Supreme Committee for Crisis and Disaster Management also announced that the programme will be extended for 24 hours, for the next two weeks, starting today. The announcement comes as part of UAE’s precautions in the fight against Covid 19. The programme was to end on 4 April as per plan.
Groceries, supermarkets and pharmacies will continue to function normally. Medical examination will also be intensified across the emirate. UAE continues to stress the need for residents to stay indoors throughout this period. Metros and trams in Dubai will stop operations from today. The new move comes as part of Dubai’s initiatives to fight Covid 19.

However, the good news is, in case you need to step out, Nol card holders can enjoy free bus rides. As well as Dubai Taxis and some franchised taxis will also offer a 50 per cent discount on rides. The move is an initiative to help people who need to run errands.
