Covid-19 Testing Booths In Dubai Malls Now Open For Walk-In

Dubai had recently introduced covid-19 testing booths at malls in the emirate to let citizens tests at affordable rates while enjoying shopping and other activities. And now as per the latest development, the testing booths at malls will operate on walk-in basics. This new update was issued by the Dubai Health Authority. In terms of the centres, the PCR testing booths in Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif and City Centre Deira will operate Sunday to Wednesday from 10 am to 5 pm, and Thursday to Saturday from 10 am to 7 pm.

The Testing Is Only For People Who Need It For Travel And Other Non-Medical Purposes

Initially, when the mission was launched, the booths were functional seven days a week. The timings back then was 11 am to 6 pm with prior appointment-only basis. For testings, this service can only be availed by residents or visitors who need the tests for travel and other non-medical purposes.

Abu Dhabi Updates Covid-19 Rules For Citizens, New Rules Valid From November 8

Launched last month, each PCR station is hailed right at the entrance of the mall and can conduct around 180 tests a day. For pricing, the test costs AED 150. For results, the results are sent to the customer 24 within 24 hours. The test is free for people aged 50 and above, those with chronic illnesses, Emiratis and GCC citizens, people with disabilities and anyone with an Emirati mother.

However, the health authorities advise that people showing symptoms shouldn’t get tested at the mall. In terms of updates and testings, Abu Dhabi too updated the covid-19 rules for citizens entering the capital. From November 8, Sunday. As per the rules, Emiratis and residents entering Abu Dhabi will need to undergo up to three Covid-19 tests. The negative DPI blood test or PCR nasal swab result received within 48 hours will only be accepted. And those who fail to follow the rules will be liable to pay fines.
