A video is making rounds on social media that shows us how to use only salt and thermal paste to cool down a CPU. The TikTok application is banned in India so we are unable to view or embed the video here. According to various reports on different platforms, a TikTok user named @mryeester is the mastermind behind this trending hack that he found out after experimenting with a lot of ingredients.

After doing quite a few experiments with a thermal paste, the result was only an increase in temperature. Lastly, he finally added salt to it and helped in cooling down his heated-up CPU. He took a tiny amount of salt and crushed it further to add it to the thermal paste. As shown in the video, the temperature actually reduced by 2 to 3 degree Celsius. Salt is readily available in our kitchen and it can come in handy for people to use it to cool down the CPU.
